Competence Framework on Peace Education (PEF)
The Peace Education Framework (PEF) is the foundational intellectual output of EduPeace. It provides a comprehensive, research-backed competence framework that defines the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values teachers need to effectively implement peace education in secondary school settings.
Framework Dimensions
🧠 Knowledge
Understanding of peace education theory, European values, social-emotional learning, and conflict transformation approaches.
🛠️ Skills
Practical competences for facilitating dialogue, managing conflict constructively, and creating inclusive classroom environments.
💚 Attitudes
Empathy, openness to diversity, commitment to non-discrimination, and democratic participation values.
🏫 Whole-School
Capacities to advocate for and embed peace education within school governance, culture, and community engagement.
